Senior UPS Technician

POSITION INFO:

A leading UPS supplier in Cape Town seeks an experienced Senior UPS Technician for installation, maintenance, and repairs of UPS and battery backup systems.

Responsibilities:

• Service UPS and battery systems on-site
• Produce detailed service reports
• Diagnose and repair UPS faults
• Install and commission new UPS systems (10-400 kVA)
• Perform battery replacements
• Provide technical phone support
• Attend after-hours callouts
• Support Sales with site visits and equipment selection

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years as a UPS Technician
• National N6 Diploma and trade test in Electrical Engineering (Light Current/Electronics)
• Advanced computer literacy
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Physically fit for large installations and replacements
• Experience in small project implementation
