Tax Specialist Opportunity with a Leading Multinational in the Energy and Infrastructure Sector

POSITION INFO:
Job and Company Description:
An international company in the energy and infrastructure sector is looking for a Tax Specialist to join their team. This role covers tax accounting and reporting, tax compliance, and tax advisory. It’s ideal for someone with strong tax experience, especially in a multinational or consulting environment, who is confident managing tax risks and ensuring compliance with both local and international tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review tax calculations
Submit VAT, provisional tax, and income tax returns.
Handle tax reporting for international group requirements.
Ensure compliance across all tax areas
Support audits and manage queries from SARS.
Review tax budgets, financial models, and financial statements.
Maintain a schedule of all tax returns and outstanding issues.
Identify tax saving opportunities and ensure accurate tax records.

Qualifications and Experience:

CA(SA) with a postgraduate tax qualification preferred
2+ years post-articles experience, or 4–5 years’ experience in a tax/accounting role.
Experience in a large multinational or consulting firm is essential.
Strong understanding of international tax and transfer pricing.
