SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Sr Supervisor Mechanical Furnace, based in Saudi Arabia, Middle East. In this role, you will oversee multiple mechanical teams responsible for preventive, corrective, and repair maintenance of smelter plant equipment, including electrodes, hydraulic systems, pumps, conveyors, fans, compressors, piping, tanks, and valves. You will be tasked with planning, assigning, and directing resources to meet maintenance requirements while ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards. Additionally, you will manage equipment breakdowns, review maintenance work, and recommend improvements to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

POSITION INFO:
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Prioritize work schedules for preventive maintenance (PM), repairs, rebuilds, and general maintenance.
• Direct and supervise plant technicians to ensure safe and efficient work execution.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by implementing 5S principles.
• Manage and report workplace incidents and safety breaches.
• Review and approve quotes for materials and supplies.
• Scope and estimate costs and timeframes for maintenance tasks.
• Review completed work to ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Follow up and close work orders in SAP.

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a smelter plant or similar heavy industry.

• Extensive mechanical engineering knowledge and hands-on experience with equipment such as pumps, conveyors, and compressors.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) skills.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining processes.
• Experience in assembly, disassembly, installation, and dismantling of equipment.
• Proficiency in supervising maintenance overhauls, material handling, and tool management.
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders.
• Strong safety compliance record, including knowledge of work permits for hot work and confined spaces.
• Familiarity with mechanical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
• Ability to lead and develop team capability while ensuring high performance.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and risk management skills.
