Our client is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Sous Chef to join their culinary team at their prestigious 5-star hotel. In this leadership role, you will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will be responsible for supervising the kitchen staff, developing menus, ensuring the efficiency of food production, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the smooth running of food preparation and service.
• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to culinary standards.
• Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
• Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining kitchen inventory, managing food costs, and minimizing waste.
• Lead by example in the kitchen, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
• Step in for the Executive Chef as needed, including overseeing shifts and managing kitchen operations during their absence.

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fine dining or 5-star hotel environment.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• A culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Creative and passionate about food with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
