An industry-leading company is looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic IT team. This is an office-based role in Johannesburg South, where you will be responsible for the development and support of .NET webform applications and C# services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring system reliability and performance while contributing to strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in software development.
- Proficiency in .NET, C#, and MS SQL Database.
- Experience with webform applications and service-oriented architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Requirements:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new software requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Develop and maintain .NET webform applications and C# services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported through the helpdesk.
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Manage and maintain the MS SQL database, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Implement and monitor application performance and security measures.
- Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Certification in relevant technologies or project management.
