Senior Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for delivery of a CMDB infrastructure clean-up project. This will be an 8-month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 5 years relevant experience.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities:

• Build and manage the end-to-end project plan, and monitor/report progress.
• Effectively manage scope and dependencies.
• Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them.
• Ensure that the project is delivered to time, cost and quality
• Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders.
• Support the Programme manager in the overall successful delivery of a Programme.
• Coordinate and manage resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
• Lead project meetings and set expectations.
• Maintain budget and forecast.
• Assessing and analyzing different options for the requirements of the project.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Meeting stakeholders and assessing needs.
• Travelling may be required.

• Experience in Agile and Azure boards
• ServiceNow background
• Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business
• Highly proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools
• Understanding of CMDB concepts, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis, data cleansing, and data migration techniques.
• Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes, especially those related to configuration management.
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the project

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to six years of experience in Project Management activities

• Well-developed organizational/documentation skills
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to review data
• Must have very good project planning and management skills and ability to develop and manage changes and implementations
• Must have strong client orientation and excellent relationship skills
• The candidate will need ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, team members, and vendors
• Strong leadership to guide the team and ensure project milestones are met.
• Efficiently managing time to meet deadlines and project goals.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments
• Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions
