A leading engineering company is seeking a dynamic and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their team. POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Design

Develop innovative mechanical solutions from first principles
Improve and optimize existing products through value engineering
Conduct design validation and FEA analysis
Oversee drawing pack compilation and approvals
Create Bill of Materials (BOM) via ERP systems
Specify third-party equipment
Conduct on-site research and testing in collaboration with technical teams

Projects & Commissioning

Manage project-specific engineering deliverables
Provide on-site commissioning support for equipment

Documentation & Change Management

Oversee the development of client manuals and illustrated parts catalogs
Compile technical reports, memos, and specifications
Manage engineering changes and non-conformances

Minimum Requirements:

Qualification: BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing methods and materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor (preferred)
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Experience with crushing equipment (cone crushers, jaw crushers, ball mills) is advantageous
- Previous mine site experience beneficial
- Valid Driver’s License & own transport
- Valid Passport
- Ability to pass a standard mine medical assessment
