Senior Project Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Design

• Develop innovative mechanical solutions from first principles
• Improve and optimize existing products through value engineering
• Conduct design validation and FEA analysis
• Oversee drawing pack compilation and approvals
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) via ERP systems
• Specify third-party equipment
• Conduct on-site research and testing in collaboration with technical teams

Projects & Commissioning

• Manage project-specific engineering deliverables
• Provide on-site commissioning support for equipment

Documentation & Change Management

• Oversee the development of client manuals and illustrated parts catalogs
• Compile technical reports, memos, and specifications
• Manage engineering changes and non-conformances

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification: BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing methods and materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Experience with crushing equipment (cone crushers, jaw crushers, ball mills) is advantageous
  • Previous mine site experience beneficial
  • Valid Driver’s License & own transport
  • Valid Passport
  • Ability to pass a standard mine medical assessment
