SUMMARY:
A major Mining client of ours is looking for a Senior Portfolio and Program Lead (PMO Lead) with over 10 years of experience in the management of large-scale enterprise transformations on a 3 months contract. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in governance frameworks, risk management, and benefits realization. Responsibilities include strategic planning, business transformation, and digital innovation. Candidates must be well-versed in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, MSP, and SAFe.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and professional registrations

Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Professional certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), PgMP (Program Management Professional) preferred.

Experience

10+ years of experience in portfolio and program management, particularly in large-scale enterprise transformations.
Strong expertise in governance frameworks, risk management, and benefits realization.
Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams in a complex, global environment.

Knowledge

Portfolio, Program, and Project Management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, MSP, SAFe).
Strategic planning, business transformation, and digital innovation.
Governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Financial planning, cost control, and budgeting in project environments.
Change management and organizational development.
Data-driven decision-making, reporting, and analytics tools

Key duties and responsibilities

Develop and implement enterprise-wide portfolio management strategies.
Define and enforce governance standards, policies, and compliance measures.
Manage stakeholder expectations across business and technical divisions
Resource Optimization & Financial Management
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
