Senior Planner Buyer

POSITION INFO:
Senior Supply Planner / Buyer - Johannesburg

This Supply Planner will be responsible for ensuring that the required inventory level of both raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG) are maintained, in order to meet or exceed customer order fill rates. This person will be a vital member of S&OP. Assisting with other financial requirements including, but not limited to, monthly costing submissions and reviews of supplier requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Planning delivery timetables
• Ensuring stores have enough stock
• Making sure suppliers have enough stock to meet demand
• Overseeing the ordering and packaging process
• Monitoring stock levels
• Tracking products through depots to make sure they arrive at their destination
• Overseeing the arrival of shipments
• Ensuring targets are met
• Assisting with monthly costing processes
• Preventing risk in the form of expiry stock and assisting in managing this

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supply Planning / Buyer roles within a Manufacturing environment, preferable Pharma.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
