Senior Manager: Legal (5 year contract)

SUMMARY:
To provide strategic legal guidance to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, manage legal risks, and contribute to the achievement of the organization''s objectives

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Postgraduate Degree or NQF level 8 qualification in Law/Legal Qualification
• Admission as an Attorney or Advocate
• At least 5-7 years’ experience in a legal advisory level/role.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and other relevant legislation
• A very good understanding of the relationships between the company and its shareholder and strategic external stakeholders
• Interpretation of statutory requirements and guidelines
• Knowledge of National Treasury strategic planning and annual performance planning requirements.
• Good working knowledge of project and programme management.
• Good working knowledge of strategy and operational planning.
• Excellent lobbying skills and ability to communicate across the various levels of government
