SUMMARY:
A privately owned, proudly South African, financial services institution, providing a bouquet of employee benefit-related services, is looking for a Senior Manager in the Audit and Reporting space. The successful candidate will be required to check and analyze data and examine company accounts, financial control systems and levels of financial risk within the organizations to ensure that reports and records are accurate and reliable.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Ensure the funds are audited correctly
Review the audit team’s work
Compile reports (audit opinion, procedures etc.) for management
Assess the effectiveness of the control environment, and identify control gaps
Understand the client’s business processes, controls and weaknesses in the system
Preliminary analysis of the trail balance, budgeting, materiality and reading minutes to identify significant matters to be noted during the audit
Remain up-to-date and identify/interpret industry trends

Qualifications:

BCom; MBA (preferred)
ACCA certification (not negotiable)

Experience:

Min 10 years' experience in a similar environment
Everest accounting package experience
