SUMMARY:

A well-established steel stockist is seeking a Senior Internal Sales Representative to be based in Brakpan, who will be responsible for all internal sales-related responsibilities and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum 10 years’ internal sales experience within the steel industry
Experience in dealings with flat steel is advantageous
Superior proficiency in using Excel and other Microsoft Office product is essential
Experience on working with Pastel etc. is advantageous
Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must have the ability to work under pressure

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing customer enquiries and providing professional sales support.
Providing customer quotes and following up on quotes via email and telephone.
Creating sales orders and processing flow for dispatch.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Assisting with customer feedback on delivery, stock, and material problems.
Providing customers with information on current and incoming stocks.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product offerings, and pricing.
Analyzing and sharing information related to the market, competition, pricing, and all other developments within the steel sector.
Communicating within various departments and providing feedback to management.
