Senior Group Reporting Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join their dynamic Group Finance Team.

This role is pivotal in driving group-level financial reporting and consolidation. You will report to the External Group Reporting Manager and collaborate closely with the Group Financial Controller and finance teams across their diverse geographies.

Duties:

• Manage external audits, implement internal controls, and integrate acquisitions and new systems.
• Prepare group consolidated financial statements under IFRS and review subsidiary financial statements.
• Oversee monthly group consolidation reporting, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Drive efficiency and automation of reporting processes.
• Provide financial reports for shareholders, directors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Indirectly manage accounting staff and support ad-hoc projects

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCOM)
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA)

• Completed articles
• CA(SA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Extensive IFRS accounting and consolidation experience.
• Leadership and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in multi-currency reporting and emerging markets.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
