SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join their dynamic Group Finance Team.

POSITION INFO:
This role is pivotal in driving group-level financial reporting and consolidation. You will report to the External Group Reporting Manager and collaborate closely with the Group Financial Controller and finance teams across their diverse geographies.

Duties:

Manage external audits, implement internal controls, and integrate acquisitions and new systems.
Prepare group consolidated financial statements under IFRS and review subsidiary financial statements.
Oversee monthly group consolidation reporting, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Drive efficiency and automation of reporting processes.
Provide financial reports for shareholders, directors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Indirectly manage accounting staff and support ad-hoc projects

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCOM)
BCom Honours / CTA
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed articles
CA(SA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
Extensive IFRS accounting and consolidation experience.
Leadership and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in multi-currency reporting and emerging markets.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
