A leading property, Construction and Logistics company is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a
CA(SA) with post-articles experience in the property/ construction/ logistics industry, looking to take ownership of financial operations within a group-structured business.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Prepare management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and lease smoothing calculations.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth reviews of the general ledger, KPIs, and financial statements.
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure VAT, income tax computations, and SARS audits are handled efficiently.
- Intercompany Accounting: Oversee group loan matrix and intercompany accounts.
- Audit & Reporting: Prepare financials in CaseWare and liaise with auditors for year-end reports.
- Process Oversight: Review property and construction-related payments, bond reconciliations, and creditor payments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA(SA) qualification required
- Minimum 4-5 years post-articles experience (property/construction/logistics industry experience is essential)
- Strong IFRS & IFRS for SMEs knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & CaseWare
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure
