POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for an astute Senior Estimator/QS who will be responsible for analysis, net
variance and ad-hoc activities aligned with the project implementation process. The
Senior Estimator/QS will be responsible for consulting with key stakeholders to formulate
project estimates, and to report at regular intervals in terms of cost effectiveness.
Key Performance Areas:
The Senior Estimator/QS will be reporting directly to the Cost Management Lead in
performing the assigned duties in terms of the project implementation process for site
rebranding.
Role and Responsibilities:
? Preparation and estimates budget costs by evaluating plans and specifications
? Assistance with preparation of budgets for bulk production
? Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times, etc.
? Working on final account for client
? Review offers and quotes by subcontractors in relation to procurement
? Prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labour to be used for purposes
such as planning, organizing and scheduling work
? Assess cost effectiveness procurement detail as the project develops
Qualifications and Experience:
? Relevant tertiary qualification (Construction studies/Quantity Surveying)
? 5+ years of relevant experience
? Experience leading a team
? Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
? Project management experience and use of project management software
? Ability to critically analyse project needs and issues, and report to team lead
? Ability to liaise with key stakeholders on site
