SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join the Environmental Department for an esteemed multidisciplinary consultancy, to be based at their East London branch.
This key role will involve conducting comprehensive environmental assessments, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and providing expert guidance on environmental impacts related to engineering projects.
Only candidates who are an MSc. graduate in environmental management services with a minimum of 5 years’ experience will be considered.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in environmental science, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams.
As a Senior Environmental Scientist, you will utilise your expertise to assess environmental risks, develop mitigation strategies, and create innovative solutions that align with our client's commitment to environmental stewardship. You will also be responsible for interfacing with regulatory agencies, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings to both internal stakeholders and clients.
Prior Learning / Special Skills:
- Contamination assessments.
- Site investigations.
- Basic assessments, environmental impact assessments & environmental licences.
- Environmental control.
- Maintain safety, health, environmental & quality system.
Computer Literacy:- Fully experienced in MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel).
Qualifications:- MSc. Environmental Science / Management / Geology / Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Hydrogeology.
- Registered as a Professional Scientist with SACNASP.
- Registered as an EAP with EAPASA (advantageous).
