Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer. We have a permanent role in Centurion.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities / main job duties:
- Design, simulate and complete PCB design and routing of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) according to specifications provided by systems engineer
- Follow the defined electronic hardware design processes and document design according to hardware design plan.
- Take part in peer reviews of LRUs
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, DSP, RF and aeronautical teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware LRUs
- Test and validate hardware designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (DO-160, MIL-STD-704)
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware design and performance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic hardware technologies and apply them to projects.

Candidate requirements:
Qualification and/or professional license(s)
- B. Eng Electronic, M. Eng Electronic or similar

Years of experience needed
- Minimum 10 years. 15 years and more preferred. Experience in the Military and or Aerospace industry would be advantageous.

Proficiency in certain applications and/or software
- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Altium, LTspice

Sound knowledge of
- Schematic design, PCB design, simulation of circuits, analysis of circuits, development processes, testing procedures
