A leading technology company is on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time hybrid role, based in Cape Town, offers flexibility with work-from-home options.

Expertise in Microsoft Technologies (Fabric, Power BI, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Azure).
Strong experience in data engineering, architecture, and cloud-based solutions.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern Azure tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Architecture – Design scalable data pipelines, develop ETL/ELT processes, and optimize data for ML & analytics.
Data Modelling & Warehousing – Build Azure-based data solutions using Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Data Factory.
Collaboration & Solution Design – Partner with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions.
Visualization & Reporting – Create powerful Power BI dashboards for data insights.
Testing & Code Quality – Ensure high-quality deliverables with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
5+ years in data engineering, BI, or analytics.
Expertise in SQL, Python, DAX, SSIS, and cloud-based data solutions.
Microsoft Certifications (advantageous).
Experience with big data, ML, and AI in production environments (a plus).
