This role involves ensuring security by design across asset and application security, vulnerability management, security testing, and email security. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams to manage security risks, design strategies for monitoring, and rapidly respond to and mitigate cyber threats.

Duties:

• Analyse security architecture for global projects, ensuring alignment with policies and standards.
• Identify and address security design gaps in current and proposed architectures.
• Monitor and communicate emerging security threats.
• Conduct in-depth security reviews of systems, applications, and programs, offering remediation recommendations.
• Oversee cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, and threat management.
• Approve and review solution designs from a security perspective.
• Manage information security products and vendor relationships.
• Support compliance projects and ensure adherence to cybersecurity regulations and protocols.
• Define, implement, and enforce information security policies.
• Maintain inventories of software and application assets, ensuring effective vulnerability management.
• Develop and implement controls to protect critical information assets.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Degree or Honors in Information Systems or Information Technology (essential).
• Recognized industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, ISO/IEC 27001, CEH, CRISC, CCSP, or similar

• 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in Cyber Security, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Experience with secure software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
• Expertise in cybersecurity standards like NIST CSF and ISO27001/2.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and email security tools such as Mimecast or Sendmarc.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, DLP tools (e.g., Varonis), and secure application configuration management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and stakeholders
