Senior Cost Accountant

POSITION INFO:

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:
Perform account reconciliations and assist in preparing audit reports
Manage balance sheets and maintain accurate accounting records
Cost Analysis & Optimization:
Use financial software to identify and resolve cost inconsistencies and risks
Collect and analyze operational cost data to optimize processes and drive efficiency
Establish standard costs for manufacturing goods and business processes, ensuring financial accuracy
Cost-Volume-Profit (CVP) Analysis:
Conduct CVP analysis to evaluate profitability and performance at various levels
Prepare and analyze gross margin reports across products, customers, and business units
Review and adjust cost allocation assumptions to ensure maximum financial efficiency
Collaboration & Reporting:
Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
Analyze production costs, including raw materials, overhead, and operational expenses
Identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with relevant departments to implement them
Invoicing & Capital Expenditure:
Support the finance team in invoicing and managing capital expenditures
Optimize financial processes to maximize profitability and operational efficiency

Skills & Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years in a Cost Accountant role with proven success
Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities
Textile or apparel manufacturing industry experience is a plus
Proficiency in financial reporting and ERP systems
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Cost Management
CMA certification is highly advantageous
