Senior Conveyancing Secretary
Our client, a well-established legal practice, is looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Conveyancing Secretary to become part of their team in Pretoria East, Gauteng. The perfect candidate should possess a Paralegal /Conveyancing qualification and have at least 8 years of relevant experience in a comparable position.

Minimum Requirements
- Essential: Matric.
- Relevant qualification in Paralegal Studies would be highly beneficial.
- Essential: Experience with Bond cancellations and registrations.
- Experience working on the following software:
- Microsoft Office Package (Specifically Excel)
- Ghost Practice
- Lexis
- Essential: Minimum of 8 years of experience within a similar role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Absa Home Loans:- Administer home loan applications and associated documentation for Absa Home Loans, Private Clients, Wealth, and Relationship Banking.
- Ensure all necessary FICA documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Liaise with the Absa legal department, ensuring compliance with their policies for property registration.
- Accurately draft and review bond registration documents in line with Absa requirements.
- Manage bond cancellation requests, ensuring all conditions are met and necessary approvals obtained.
Standard Bank Home Loans:- Oversee and manage conveyancing for Standard Bank's Home Loans and Private Client divisions.
- Draft and prepare all necessary transfer and bond registration documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Bank’s processes and procedures to avoid delays in bond registrations.
- Handle bond cancellations for Standard Bank clients, ensuring the process is handled seamlessly.
FNB Home Loans:- Manage home loan applications and conveyancing for FNB’s Home Loans, Private Clients, and Private Wealth divisions.
- Prepare and lodge bond registration documents, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements set by FNB.
- Handle the cancellation of bonds, coordinating with FNB’s legal team to ensure smooth finalisation of the process.
Bond Cancellations:- Process and manage bond cancellations for Absa, Standard Bank, and FNB, ensuring that all legal documents are correctly prepared and lodged with the deeds office.
- Communicate with bank representatives to confirm the completion of bond cancellations.
- Ensure that all bond cancellations comply with the respective bank’s specific requirements and guidelines.
Client Liaison:- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding property transfers, home loans, and bond cancellations.
- Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of their transactions.
- Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the conveyancing process.
- Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining a high level of professionalism and service quality.
Documentation Preparation and Management:- Draft and review legal documents related to property transfers, including deeds of sale, power of attorney, and mortgage bond documents.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate the submission and lodgement of documents with the deeds office.
Stakeholder Coordination:- Collaborate with attorneys, estate agents, banks, and clients to ensure all parties are informed and aligned throughout the conveyancing process.
- Manage and track the flow of documents between the parties to ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including bank representatives and clients.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:- Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance standards throughout the conveyancing process.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in property law and conveyancing procedures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of FICA, POPIA, and other regulatory requirements relevant to conveyancing.
