POSITION INFO:

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Investment Compliance professional to join a well-respected investment management team as a Senior Compliance Officer. Great opportunity for an experienced Manco experienced Compliance Officer to join a growing and dynamic team, offering growth and an opportunity to work along side industry leading professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance, document findings, reporting findings in terms of REG28, REG30, LTIA, CISCA
• This monitoring will cover and require experience and knowledge with:
  • Collective Investment Schemes Act: Board Notice 90 of 2014, Board Notice 92 of 2014, Board Notice 257 of 2013 (foreign collective investment due diligence), Board Notice 52 of 2015 Hedge Funds)
  • Pension Fund Act: Regulation 28, monitor, issue certificates and Schedule IBs
  • Medical Aid Schemes Act: Regulation 30, monitor and issue certificates
  • Long Term Insurance Act: Regulation 2.2
  • UCITS, Segregated Mandate Compliance
  • ASISA Standards & Guidelines
• Analysis and reporting of Reg 28
• Assist with ASISA & FSB quarterly reports
• Investigate breaches from Trustees
• Liaise with Regulators
• Manage Compliance Static Data

Requirements:

• Minimum of a completed relevant tertiary qualification, with a Certificate in Compliance Management would be an advantage
• Minimum of 4 - 6 years' investment compliance experience gained in the Asset Management, Manco and Fund Services environment
• Sound knowledge and exposure to various applicable legislations including CISCA, Reg 28, Long Term Insurance Act, UCITS and Medical Aid Schemes Act
• Hedge fund knowledge BN52, FAIS, Regulatory compliance exposure and understanding will be an advantage
• Organized with excellent time management skills
• Good team work and willing to develop those around them
• Accurate attention to detail, strong work ethic
• Self-driven and self-directed, honest, with good integrity
