POSITION INFO:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring regulatory excellence? Our client is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing compliance processes across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
- Track non-compliance issues and implement resolutions effectively.
- Assist in developing and enhancing compliance controls, procedures, and reporting systems.
- Prepare compliance reports for internal use and submission to regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and respond to changes in relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide compliance training and administrative support to the compliance manager.
- Handle FAIS audits, FICA documentation, and vendor application processes.
- Manage customs duties, VAT, and deferment accounts to ensure smooth operations.
- Support various departments with banking, labour audits, and legal compliance documents.
What You’ll Need
- A BCom/BA degree or equivalent in Business, Law, or Compliance and Risk Management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a compliance or related role.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong computer literacy in MS Office.
- In-depth knowledge of FAIS, FICA, and the South African Regulatory Environment in financial services.
- A valid Code 08 driver’s licence and reliable transport.
