SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of meat processing, cutting techniques, and food safety standards. This role requires expertise in handling various meat products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to mentor junior butchers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select, cut, debone, and prepare meat according to company standards
• Ensure high levels of hygiene, safety, and quality control in meat handling
• Supervise and train junior butchers, ensuring efficiency and skill development
• Maintain inventory and oversee stock levels, minimizing waste
• Assist customers by providing expert advice on cuts, preparation, and cooking methods
• Operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of butchery experience in a retail or wholesale environment
• Strong knowledge of different meat cuts, processing techniques, and portion control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
• Excellent knife skills and experience with butchery equipment
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team management
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy meat products
