Senior Business Systems Architect, Supply Chain Core Business Systems (SAP)

SUMMARY:
This role will play a key part in the Core Business Systems Team whose focus is to provide an in-depth functional knowledge for all Card Factory’s Core Business Systems (predominantly SAP ERP). This team will be responsible for ensuring that the design, configuration and ongoing maintenance of all Core Business Systems are in line with business needs now and in the future.
 
The BSA, will be responsible for the design and configuration of the supply chain components of the ERP working with System Integrators and support partners as required. They will also identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes and enhance efficiency through process automation and optimization working with wider business. They will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and help implement changes that drive operational excellence and improve customer experience.
This role will work key stakeholders across the business to understand new requirements and help identify and deliver opportunities for supply chain innovation.
They will write functional and technical specifications to engineers (internal / external) and will work closely with IT colleagues and support partners to provide 3rd line support, ensuring root cause documents are produced on a timely basis in the event of issues.

Previous Experience:

• Proven experience of working as a Business Systems Architect preferably within Retail or a relevant sector.
• Strong practical experience of SAP supply chain ERP in a retail environment is desirable.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to modify messages to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Working closely with 3rd Parties to develop and support solutions.
• Can demonstrate extensive experience in application support for business users.
• Experience in a technical role in projects implementing SAP ERP systems (desirable).
• Change and Transformation experience (desirable)

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a BSA or a related field.
• Development experience (any coding language) (desirable)
