POSITION INFO:

The role of the SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (BDM) is to generate and drive revenue through consultative and solution driven selling in the packaging industry.

• Reporting to the CEO, and responsible for the business development and revenue of 3 key divisions the BDM will be involved in developing the value proposition for a diverse set of customers in the Retail, Agricultural and Automotive industry.

• Leveraging market knowledge and insights from multiple industries, the BDM will inform the company's marketing strategies.

• The BDM will consult with customers and feedback to internal teams to improve and develop the company's product offerings.

• With the objective of driving revenue the BDM will thoroughly map the market and action a business development plan to grow the company's customer base throughout South Africa.

• Taking a hands-on approach to developing customer relationships the BDM will meet with clients (travel) throughout South Africa including Western Cape, Gauteng and Limpopo provinces.

This opportunity will suit a seasoned Product Manager or Business Development Manager that has a proven track record in growing revenue in a competitive environment, and selling to large businesses. Someone who is able to pivot and understand the challenges faced by customers from diverse industries, and who's approach is to drive solutions to win customers.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BCom Marketing (or similar)
• At least 8-10 years experience in a Product Development/ Business Development/ Sales role.
• Multiple industries experience (experience with customers in multiple industries)
• Experienced in the principles of consultative selling
• Willing to travel throughout South Africa

This role is based in Centurion for an innovative Packaging organisation that serves customers in the Agri, FMCG, Retail, Transport, and Auto industries.
