Senior Bench / Field Service Engineer

SUMMARY:
Leading medical device supplier requires a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Electrical / Mechanical Engineering National Diploma / B-Tech Degree
Minimum of 5-6 years working experience in the medical field, preferable on theatre equipment, camera systems, pneumatic drills and robotic systems
Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation
Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and applied to use of biomedical equipment
Registration with CEASA will be preferred
Valid drivers license, passport and reliable vehicle
Strong Excel and Word skills
Able to travel extensively into other provinces and the SADC countries

Duties
Install, repair, disinfect and evaluate Aesculap range of medical, pneumatic equipment
Perform preventative maintenance, software installations and electrical safety testing of equipment according to service documentation
Diagnosis of equipment malfunctions and perform corrective action
Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections and equipment repairs and failures
Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance
Review outcome of preventative maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements
Arrange service activities according to the schedule matrix
Attend to customer call outs
Manage and arrange back up equipment and stock when arrived
