Senior Airfreight Controller, Gauteng

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Airfreight Controller for a permanent role based in Sandton, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 / equivalent with a high level of computer literacy including Cargowise system
• 3+ years’ working experience in airfreight cargo
• Must have good communication skills and require little supervision

• Operational – communicate with clients; receive pre-alerts; track & registering shipments; ensuring full consignment is received; checking client account status; client invoicing; arrangement shipment transportation; arrange 3rd party payments; following up on cargo; submitting required docs for release; putting airline on notice for missing cargo; inform them of damaged cargo; check cargo on hand report for discrepancies; daily & monthly reports
• Financial – check for WIPs and accruals
