About the Company:
A well-established company in the financial services sector, with a strong presence in infrastructure and energy markets, is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations across a group of companies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in financial strategy, reporting, and compliance, ensuring operational excellence within a multi-entity environment.

POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Do:
â Financial Management & Reporting

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all subsidiaries.
Perform variance analysis to support decision-making.
Oversee multi-currency financial management and intercompany reconciliations.

â Compliance & Taxation

Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT laws, and SARS regulations.
Monitor and manage corporate tax, PAYE, and financial reporting standards.
Lead year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.

â Budgeting & Forecasting

Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
Identify areas for cost efficiency and process improvement.

â Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance finance team.
Ensure strong internal financial controls and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:
ð Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Honours Degree preferred

ð Experience & Skills

5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong expertise in financial reporting, IFRS, VAT, and tax compliance.
Experience with multi-entity or group consolidations.
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, SAP, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.

ð¡ Bonus Points for:

Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, SimplePay, Dext, Syft).
Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs or Caseware Working Papers.
