Duties:

• Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Investigate costs to ensure they align with associated revenue.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and budget vs. actual reports with insightful commentary.
• Handle VAT submissions, payroll preparation, and journal entries.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring annual physical verifications.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and maintain the cash book in the GL.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant schedules and reports.
• Develop annual financial statements and tax computations.
• Lead the integration process of ERP systems, ensuring accurate reconciliation and data transfer.
• Align system integration with accounting policies.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Honours

• Completed SAICA Articles
• 3 / 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with strong VAT and local tax knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Proven ability in preparing annual financial statements, tax calculations, and budget preparation.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in fixed asset management, revenue reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Competency in reading and interpreting contracts.
