Our client is looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring accurate financial results are reported by assisting management.

Duties:

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Supporting the development of annual budgets.
• Contributing to the weekly cash flow forecast for expenses.
• Assisting in auditing sales representative expense claims against supporting documentation.
• Helping process intercompany recharge journals.
• Updating bank balances daily and compiling daily bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with the month-end reporting process.
• Assisting in responding to external audit queries and data requests.
• Helping compile supporting documentation for BBBEE verification.
• Processing Goods Received Notes (GRVs) in Pastel for stock receipts and verifying supplier invoice accuracy.
• Aiding in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of financial controls, policies, procedures, and systems as needed.
• Managing company secretarial tasks across multiple group companies.
• Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting / Finance
• Honours
• CA(SA) or CIMA

• Completed SAICA articles
• 1 - 3 Years post articles experience
• Big 4 exposure is beneficial
• Must have experience with Pastel or a similar accounting system
