POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring accurate financial results are reported by assisting management.

Duties:

Verifying supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments.
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Supporting the development of annual budgets.
Contributing to the weekly cash flow forecast for expenses.
Assisting in auditing sales representative expense claims against supporting documentation.
Helping process intercompany recharge journals.
Updating bank balances daily and compiling daily bank reconciliations.
Assisting with the month-end reporting process.
Assisting in responding to external audit queries and data requests.
Helping compile supporting documentation for BBBEE verification.
Processing Goods Received Notes (GRVs) in Pastel for stock receipts and verifying supplier invoice accuracy.
Aiding in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of financial controls, policies, procedures, and systems as needed.
Managing company secretarial tasks across multiple group companies.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Accounting / Finance
Honours
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed SAICA articles
Big 4 exposure is beneficial
Must have experience with Pastel or a similar accounting system
