SUMMARY:
A jewellery and accessory supplier in South Africa is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager/Merchandiser with a specialisation in handbags.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Sourcing – Source and develop product ranges tailored to each customer’s specific requirements.
Cost Negotiation – Effectively negotiate costs with suppliers in China while aligning with buyers/customers in South Africa.
Critical Path Management – Oversee the entire process from briefing to delivery, ensuring 100% on-time delivery.
Product Expertise – Possess in-depth knowledge of each product category, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and design integrity.
Range Showings – Travel to retailers in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg to present product ranges.
Sales & Financial Targets – Meet and exceed set sales budgets and GP% targets per customer.
Problem-Solving & Agility – Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress effectively and solving challenges proactively.
Category Management – Oversee additional categories, including:

Winter Accessories – Beanies, scarves, earmuffs, and gloves.
Headwear – Hats and caps.
Summer Scarves & Novelty Accessories – Keychains and emerging accessory trends.
Kids’ Accessories – Manage a diverse range of children’s fashion accessories.
