Senior AI Engineer – Sandton, Johannesburg

POSITION INFO:

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg

Employment Type: Full-Time
A leading financial technology firm is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to develop and deploy AI-driven solutions that optimize business processes and enhance client offerings. If you have a strong background in AI/ML and a passion for innovation, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

ð¹ Design, implement, and deploy AI/ML solutions for business optimization.
ð¹ Lead R&D initiatives, building scalable AI systems for real-world applications.
ð¹ Develop and maintain LLM-based systems, predictive analytics, and recommendation engines.
ð¹ Oversee the full AI development lifecycle, from research to deployment.
ð¹ Monitor and improve AI models post-deployment.
ð¹ Stay up to date with industry advancements and integrate them into projects.

Ideal Candidate:

â Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s is a plus!).
â 5+ years of experience in AI/ML-focused software development.
â Proven ability to deploy AI-integrated products in live environments.
â Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL.
â Expertise in LLM integration, Langchain, Llama Index, Crew AI, and Langsmith.
â Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, API development (Flask/FastAPI).
