SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Semiskilled Artisan for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:
 
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• At least 10 years’ proven experience in the manufacturing industry and General Engineering environment - ESSENTIAL
• Fabrication & Centre Lathe and Milling Machine experience
• Mig and Tig Welding experience
• Fitting experience & Measuring and Cutting materials to specifications
• Welding materials using the correct equipment to join the materials together
• Ensuring that the workshop is run smoothly and to keep everyone safe
• Repairing cracked or broken metal work
• Checking the finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerance marked on the blueprint
• Maintenance support
• Able to plan ahead and manage time
• Able to prioritize
• Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Following written instructions and keeping records
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
