SUMMARY:
Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead/Manager who will manage the responsibility to oversee the day-to-day operations and strategy of the Security Operations Center, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and response to security incidents across IT and OT environments. This will be a 12 month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 7 years relevant experience.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of security analysts and incident responders, providing direction and mentorship.
Develop and maintain SOC processes, standard operating procedures, and runbooks.
Coordinate threat intelligence and threat hunting activities for proactive risk mitigation.
Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and tuning of SOC technologies (SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, EDR, ICS monitoring tools).
Ensure alignment with broader cybersecurity strategy and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, industry-specific regulations).
Collaborate with IT and OT stakeholders to address vulnerabilities and remediate incidents.
Prepare regular SOC performance reports and executive summaries.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
Demonstrated expertise in SOC tools and technologies (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, OT monitoring).
Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks and best practices (SANS, NIST), and 2+ years as lead for Incident Response Scenarios and Capabilities.
Familiarity with ICS/SCADA security considerations, industrial protocols, and critical infrastructure protection.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISM) are highly valued.
