Security Manager

SUMMARY:
Hotel Group is recruiting for a Security Manager to oversee all security related operations at their two properties adjacent to each other in Muldersdrift.
 
As a Security Manager, you are responsible to protect and ensure the safety of all guests, employees, their belongings and all assets. They will also ensure that the properties is adequately secured at all times.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular walk-abouts throughout the properties to ensure the safety and security of guest, staff, visitors and contractors always.
Record all deviations from the safety standards.
Manage the Fire and Safety Committees
Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting or loitering around the hotel public or guest areas.
Ensure that proper key controls are followed.
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
Control all Lost and Found items that are handed in as well as collection of the items.
Conduct investigations and compile reports on a timely manner for any theft, loss, accidents or any aspect that risk the safety
Track all departmental safety records, medically treated and non-treated injuries
Handle complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Conduct monthly checks for all CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and panic / duress alarms
Interview, select, review and train new security officers
Ensure security staff have assign duties
Ensure security staff tap in at control points when completing their patrols.
Supervision of all Security Personnel and giving clear direction on all security related aspects.
Be available after hours for genuine emergencies within the property.

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
Specialized training in safety administration and construction safety inspection
Hospitality knowledge a pre-requisite.
Managerial experience at a middle/senior management level essential.
Proven ability in security management, access control and other related aspects.
Experience in supervising Security, Safety, Emergencies and Crisis Management related disciplines.
Ability to independently research technical documents, interpret and organize data and information as required
Ability to facilitate meetings and obtain consensus
Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.
Must have valid driver’s license
Advanced computer skills.
Proficient in CCTV, Fire and Safety Systems.
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
