Our client, a private school in Plettenberg Bay has an opportunity available for an inspiring, dynamic, and experienced individual to lead their established private school in Plettenberg Bay. The Principal will be responsible for overseeing the academic, administrative, and operational functions of the school, while fostering an environment that prioritizes student achievement, personal growth, and a positive school culture. The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader with a vision to guide the school to greater heights and make a lasting impact on the local community.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications Required:

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Postgraduate qualification in Education Management, Leadership, or similar (advantageous)
• Registration with SACE (South African Council for Educators)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in school leadership position
• Proven track record of academic success and curriculum development

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and the wider school community
• Sound knowledge of educational policies and regulations in South Africa
• Experience in budgeting, resource management, and strategic planning
• Ability to implement and drive a forward-thinking, innovative educational vision
• A passion for holistic education and nurturing students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
• Excellent conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with modern educational technologies and digital learning platforms

• Provide visionary leadership to the school, ensuring the highest standards of education, discipline, and student welfare
• Oversee curriculum planning and delivery, ensuring academic excellence across all grade levels
• Lead and manage the teaching staff, ensuring professional development and fostering a collaborative, supportive school culture
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, including financial oversight, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, the local community, and external stakeholders
• Promote and uphold the school’s values, ethos, and mission statement in all aspects of school life
• Ensure the smooth running of extracurricular activities and school events
