Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity for a Sales Rep, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. Ideal if you have experience working in the Agriculture sector.

POSITION INFO:

This position is based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and the role is with a large stable company in the logistics space. ideal if you are a natural Sales-person, experienced working in the Agriculture space, enjoys visiting farmers to build great relationships.

Criteria:

• Min 3 years of field sales experience operating in the agricultural, freight, cargo-securing and/or industrial sectors in a similar role
• Tertiary qualification
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relationship orientation
• Sound commercial acumen and ability to structure deals in volatile trading conditions
• Is flexible and innovative in its ability to offer unique yet practical solutions to customers
• Has an exceptional ability to grow relationships and build rapport with clients and team members alike
• Demonstrated ability in spotting opportunities in the industrial or related sectors and structuring deals that grow market share
• Has strong negotiation skills demonstrated by their confident manner and assertiveness in defending margin
• Is goal-oriented and proactive in looking for new business opportunities and applications for the product range
• Is patient and thorough in following up on leads but tenacious in securing commitment and closing the deal
• Goes the extra mile and makes that last call

Duties:

• Develops and delivers product sales strategies, plans and targets in consultation with the product manager
• Identifies critical factors in product history and monitors forecasting in line with marketing plans
• Creates opportunities to promote the goodwill of the business and grow the company''''s exposure in the marketplace
• Nurtures exceptional relationships with current and new/potential customers
• Grows sales territory and drives innovation of practical applications for the product offering
• inspires and motivates colleagues to deliver sales targets and delight the customer
• Evaluate and report on progress against targets and provide solutions to problems/obstacles that may arise.
