Sales Manager

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, and destination management companies (DMCs).
• Conduct client visits to promote the game lodge and its offerings.
• Research and understand client businesses, including key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Develop and implement a Sales Plan to boost revenue in alignment with company objectives.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from cold calling to closing deals.
• Monitor tender databases and complete RFPs for corporate clients and conferences.
• Negotiate contracts and cross-sell other properties within the portfolio.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service offerings.

• Gain in-depth understanding of client needs and use this information to grow and retain business.
• Ensure timely renewal of contracts with existing clients.
• Organize and host site inspections, presentations, training, and FAM trips as needed.
• Handle contract implementation and administration.
• Represent the lodge at relevant trade shows and industry events.

• Utilize CRM tools or filing systems to maintain and build client databases.
• Update and manage contact lists for Operations and Marketing.
• Prepare reports on market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance.

• Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.
• Recognized Sales Qualification and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strategic, analytical, and data-driven approach to sales.
• Proven experience with tour operators, DMCs, and event planners.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Opera is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Results-oriented with strong time management and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management.
