Job Summary:
The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing the company's search engine optimization (SEO) strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, link-building strategies, and technical SEO to increase organic search visibility and drive qualified traffic to company websites. Additionally, the SEO Specialist will be responsible for aligning SEO efforts with broader digital marketing initiatives and ensuring measurable growth in online presence.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
1. SEO Strategy & Implementation
Develop and execute SEO strategies that improve search engine rankings and website visibility.
Conduct competitor analysis and industry research to identify opportunities for growth.
Stay up to date with search engine algorithm updates and adjust SEO strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with the
digital marketing and content teams to integrate SEO best practices across all marketing campaigns.
2. On-Page Optimization
Perform keyword research and optimize website content, meta tags, headings, and URLs.
Improve site structure and internal linking for better crawlability and user experience.
Optimize images, videos, and other media elements to enhance page speed and performance.
Work with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are applied to new and existing content.
Implement and monitor keyword cannibalization strategies to prevent ranking conflicts.
Utilize user behavior analytics to refine content structure and improve engagement rates.
3. Off-Page Optimization & Link Building
Develop and execute link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks.
Identify opportunities for guest blogging, influencer outreach, and digital PR.
Monitor and disavow toxic backlinks to maintain a healthy link profile.
Establish relationships with industry influencers, bloggers, and webmasters to enhance backlink acquisition.
Utilize social media and content marketing strategies to generate organic backlinks.
4. Technical SEO
Conduct regular SEO audits to identify and fix technical issues (crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, etc.).
Ensure proper implementation of structured data (schema markup) for rich search results.
Work with developers to improve site speed, mobile-friendliness, and Core Web Vitals.
Implement canonical tags, hreflang attributes, and other technical elements for SEO compliance.
Optimize website architecture for efficient crawling and indexing by search engines.
Ensure JavaScript rendering is optimized for search engine crawlers.
5. Content Strategy & Optimization
Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly blog posts, landing pages, and other web content.
Optimize existing content for better search performance.
Implement topic clustering and pillar page strategies for enhanced content organization.
Develop and execute content gap analyses to identify missing opportunities in search intent.
Monitor keyword trends and create content strategies to target emerging search queries.
6. SEO Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze website traffic, rankings, and conversions using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
Generate monthly performance reports and provide actionable insights.
Conduct A/B testing and analyze the effectiveness of SEO strategies.
Set and track KPIs such as organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, click-through rates, and domain authority.
Use data visualization tools to present SEO performance insights to stakeholders.
Implement automated reporting for real-time performance monitoring.
7. Local SEO
Optimize Google Business Profile and other local listings.
Manage local citations and ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency.
Implement local keyword optimization for geo-targeted searches.
Develop strategies to enhance location-based search visibility and engagement.
Monitor and respond to online reviews to improve brand reputation.
8. SEO for E-commerce (if applicable)
Optimize product pages, category pages, and descriptions for search engines.
Implement structured data for product listings (rich snippets, product schema, etc.).
Monitor and optimize for Google Shopping and other marketplaces.
Enhance product image SEO for improved search ranking in visual search engines.
Analyze conversion funnel data to optimize e-commerce checkout flows for SEO impact.
Technical Requirements:
Proficiency in SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO, and Google Search Console.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as it relates to SEO.
Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and Webflow.
Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Data Studio.
Knowledge of schema markup, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt management.
Experience with Core Web Vitals optimization and page speed improvement techniques.
Familiarity with AI-powered SEO tools and content optimization platforms.
Strong understanding of technical aspects such as log file analysis, crawl budget optimization, and JavaScript SEO.
Experience with SEO automation scripts and Python for data analysis is a plus.

Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or related digital marketing fields are a plus.
Experience working with B2B and B2C industries in an SEO capacity.
