What You’ll Be Doing
- Compliance Management: You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company operates within the required legal frameworks. Your role will also involve conducting internal audits and providing guidance on compliance matters.
- Risk Mitigation: You’ll continuously evaluate potential risks, develop risk management frameworks, and implement strategies to minimize exposure. With your proactive approach, you’ll ensure that the company is prepared for any internal or external challenges.
- Training and Development: You will organize and conduct compliance and risk management training for staff, ensuring that everyone is aligned with regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For in You
We’re looking for someone with the following:
- Qualifications: A degree in commerce or a related field is preferred. If you’re a member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa, that’s a bonus!
- Experience: You should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in risk and compliance management, with a solid understanding of compliance legislation and risk management practices.
- Skills: You’re an excellent communicator in both English and Afrikaans, with strong writing skills. You know how to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines, and handle complex issues with ease.
- Problem Solver: You have a keen eye for identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. Your ability to influence change and provide practical solutions is key to your success.
