Risk Backend Engineer

SUMMARY:

The role of the Risk Backend Engineer is responsible for the build and maintenance of Risk services according to defined architecture documentation and user stories in an Agile environment.

The Risk Backend Engineer reports directly to the Credit Risk and FRAML Product Owners.

The role of the Risk Backend Engineer is responsible for the build and maintenance of Risk services according to defined architecture documentation and user stories in an Agile environment.

The Risk Backend Engineer reports directly to the Credit Risk and FRAML Product Owners.

 

Responsibilities:

• Build solutions from requirements received from product owner.
• Be able to work in agile environment.
• Able to build POC solutions and demonstrate/present.
• Develop and maintain tools and applications by producing clean, dry, secured and well-documented code with a high level of unit test coverage.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review and debug code.
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products.
• Be able to report on his work using agile tools such as JIRA.
• Be able to elaborate and document his work in confluence.
• Communicative and proactive.

 

• Proven experience as a Back-End Developer in an Agile environment.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry such as Banking is a plus.
• Development with SAS language and knowledge of SAS Viya tools such as Intelligent Decisioning and Studio.
• Experience with Feedzai is a plus.
• Development with Python language covered with Pytest to build serverless AWS Lambda functions.
• Management of a codebase with Git, experience with a Github actions driven CI/CD is a plus.
• Documentation of Rest APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Integration of REST APIs through AWS API Gateway and Azure APIM.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services such as Lambda, EventBridge, S3, Dynamo DB, Step Functions and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services such as AKS is a plus.
• Knowledge of Terraform for cloud resources provisioning.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as privatelinks and multi-cloud VPN.
