SUMMARY:
⪠Ensure the correct operation of rig's mechanical equipment by following preventive maintenance system, performing routine inspections, monitoring spare parts and coordinating own crew to carry out activities complying to Quality and HSE procedures and practices
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Offshore Chief Rig Mechanic
Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Offshore Rig Mechanic to becoming an Offshore Chief Rig Mechanic

POSITION INFO:
⪠Be safety minded during in all works and behaviours, use compulsory protective equipment and ensure the same for subordinates
⪠Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan
⪠Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried out, precautions are taken, and the work permit is signed
⪠Attend safety meetings and conduct special safety meetings with mechanic crew whenever necessary
⪠Be well-informed about all relevant work and safety procedures issued by the Operator, applying them and promoting their implementation
⪠Promptly report any safety hazard, accident, near-miss accident and non-conformance through proper channels
⪠Be well-informed about environmental aspect on site, full knowledge of environmental procedures, applying them and promoting their implementation

⪠Monitor and prevent oil spills from hydraulic operated equipment, power related equipment as well as drilling mechanical related equipment and repair the equipment immediately in accordance with superior instructions
⪠Ensure good housekeeping in own working area and on the rig in general
⪠Ensure on the job training strategy is fulfilled for subordinates and act as tutor for new personnel
⪠Instruct all personnel assigned to him of their duties and responsibilities and of any special safety and environmental precaution to be taken prior to start up any work
⪠Check periodically the efficiency of the safety equipment and devices present on the rig site
⪠Perform routine maintenance controls of the mechanical equipment and devices as per AMOS Work orders and provide for preventive, routine and non-routine, maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors and drilling related equipment of the rig in accordance with superior instructions
âªFulfil reporting routines and ensure the same is fulfilled by subordinates
⪠Be well-informed about all the classification society and authorities’ rules and regulation applicable to own area of responsibility
⪠Ensure that the stock level of spare parts and consumables for the drilling equipment is kept at an appropriate level and in good condition by timely requesting the equipment whenever deemed necessary
Contract duration: 12 months (renewable)
Work/leave cycle: 28 days on duty – 28 days off duty
Salary: USD/EUR – 480, GBP 460
Quarantine (at work location): Paid 50% of the daily salary, for each day of presence onshore in the country of work
Working hours: 12 hours a day / 84 hours a week (12X7)
