Our Client a well-known Grocery Retail Store are seeking a skilled and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our team in the Durbanville Area, Cape Town. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of store operations, driving sales, managing budgets, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Job Description:
As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily store functions across all departments, ensuring operational efficiency, and achieving sales targets. Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of all store departments, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
Manage shrinkage levels to align with company targets.
Implement policies and procedures aimed at minimizing stock loss and enhancing inventory control.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to boost store sales.
Recruit, train, and develop store employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive deals and maintain strong business relationships.
Allocate budgets and manage store finances to optimize profitability.
Evaluate sales reports, analyze customer feedback, and implement changes to improve customer satisfaction.
Plan and implement new strategies to increase store footfall and attract new customers.
Ensure high standards of store presentation, product quality, and customer service.
Monitor market trends and competitor strategies, adjusting business plans as needed.
Set sales targets for the sales team and regularly review performance.
Oversee HR functions, including staff management and disciplinary procedures.
Lead and mentor assistant managers, developing their leadership skills and capabilities.
Foster teamwork and collaboration among store staff and management.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Management, Retail, Merchandising, Sales, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience managing supermarkets, with a proven track record of success.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
