Retail Key Account Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client who’s key focus is to keep on delivering high quality internet solutions to people and businesses is looking for a Retail Key Account Manager to join their team in Midrand.
 
We are looking for an individual that has an excellent track record in key account management within the retail sector, with expertise in working with retail partners that include Massmart, Incredible Connection, JD Group, and Pepcor Lifestyle. With existing relationships with Buyers, Merchandising Managers, and Procurement Managers in the consumer electronics industry.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with Key Service Providers, fostering mutually beneficial relationships and contributing towards business growth
• Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the retail sector, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to achieve and surpass revenue targets
• Drive business growth by identifying and developing new partnerships, fostering relationships with existing clients, and generating new sales opportunities in the retail segment
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services, effectively communicating technical information to meet the specific needs of retail partners
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to stay abreast of market trends and contribute to the formulation of effective sales strategies
• Analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify strategic business opportunities within the retail sector
• Provide leadership and guidance to the retail sales team, fostering collaboration
• Ensuring a customer-centric approach in all interactions with retail partners, addressing their unique business challenges, and providing tailored networking solutions

• Matric (Grade 12) – Technical training would be essential
• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 Years experience in Retail Key Account Management
• Strong track record in sales development, B2B/ Corporate Customer development, and key account management within the retail industry
• In-depth knowledge of retail industry structures, technologies, and market dynamics
• Established relationships with retail partners and an understanding of their business challenges
