Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Retail Facilities Manager to join our dynamic Operations team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of facilities management experience, preferably within the retail sector. As a Retail Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and maintenance aspects of our retail convenience centers, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of retail properties.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
• Manage service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Budgeting and financial management for property maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and initiate necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Work closely with tenants and stakeholders to maintain high standards of property services.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Report to senior management on the status of the properties and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in facilities management, preferably within the retail property sector.
• Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with tenants and service providers.
