SUMMARY:
Are you ready to join a leading company in the retail agriculture sector, dedicated to providing top-quality agricultural products and solutions? My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Buyer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring agricultural products, ensuring optimal stock levels, and building strong relationships with suppliers.

You will play a crucial role in driving cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for agricultural products to support business objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.
Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and operations, to align purchasing with customer demands.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activities.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability standards.
Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance evaluations.
Analyze procurement data and generate reports to support decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Agriculture, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the retail agriculture sector.
Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
Understanding of agricultural products, market trends, and seasonal purchasing cycles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
